Walp Hits 2 home runs in Generals Win
Atlanta right fielder Steve Walp contributed significantly to his team's 6-5 win over the Seattle Emeralds. Walp, who is tied for 7th in the ABL with a .504 slugging percentage, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Generals. The save went to Renie White, his 4th this season. The win gives Atlanta a record of 14-17.

In the first inning, Walp had a 3-run home run for Atlanta. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Generals on top, 3-0.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Walp told the Atlanta Bulletin.
