Hurons Earn 5-0 Home Win
|
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Dominion Field.
Toronto starter Bill John put a stranglehold on the Seattle offense. The right-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Hurons to a 5-0 win. The losing streak for Seattle has now reached 4 games.
Dave Browning drove in one run for Toronto. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Paul Geary. It was his 8th RBI of the season.
"You can never predict what'll happen," Browning said. "That's why you play the game."
