Cox Now 3-2 After Beating Bluebirds
|
The Chicago Traders went home winners at Union Field, thanks in large part to starter Larry Cox. Cox stifled the Brooklyn Bluebirds, enabling Chicago to grab the 3-0 win. Jimmy Calhoun picked up his 7th save of the season. The win gives Chicago a record of 16-15.
The Bluebirds had trouble solving Cox, who surrendered no runs on 6 hits over 8.1 innings.
"Larry -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Traders manager Larry Link. "He was the key to us winning."
