Denver Drops Another One, 4-2
|
Though he had a stellar game, Guillaume Moret could not prevent his team, the Denver Burros, from losing, 4-2, to the St. Louis Explorers. Moret went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The save went to Bernie Tate, number 7 for him. Denver now owns a losing streak of 6 games.
Charlie Bartels hit a 2-run home run off Mike Gresley in the bottom of the second, which put the Explorers ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, Bartels had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Clark Anderson.
