Drillers Send Toronto Home with 7-2 Loss
The home crowd had a good time watching the Toronto Hurons and Houston Drillers get after it.

The Houston Drillers topped the Toronto Hurons, 7-2, in American Baseball League action at Sam Houston Field. The standout performance belonged to Houston pitcher and Guadalajara, Mexico, native Francisco Castro. Castro, now 3-1, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs.

Mike Wells, who is tied for 2nd in the ABL in home runs with 8, took Toronto hurler Ben Immel deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Drillers on top, 2-1. In all, Wells had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Wells.

The Hurons drop to 12-20.
