In a seemingly effortless performance, Damon Rutherford of the Cincinnati Packers shot down the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 1-0, on 4 hits.

"Damon was just locating so well and using his pitches," Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Rutherford recorded 2 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Los Angeles manager John Trausch said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

This season, Rutherford has compiled a 3-4 mark with a 7.61 ERA.
