Houston got a strong outing from Bill Switzer as the Drillers defeated the Seattle Emeralds, 5-1, at Puget Field. The Drillers, now 21-13, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Houston used the hitting of Mark Sisson to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Drillers on top, 4-0. For the game, Sisson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
