The Denver Burros went home winners at Independence Field, thanks in large part to starter Kim Glanden. Glanden stifled the Kansas City Bulls, enabling Denver to grab the 3-1 win. Earning his 5th save for Denver was Frank Combs. The Burros improved their record to 24-10 with the win over Kansas City.
Alejandro Rebolledo, who is tied for 3rd in the NBL with a .456 on-base percentage, had a direct impact on the outcome. Rebolledo contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Denver up, 3-1.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Denver skipper Clark Anderson. "I can't complain."
