Blockbusters Lose By a Run at Cincinnati
|
The Cincinnati Packers rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher Kenny Foster to a win, beating the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 3-2, at Roman Arena. The setback makes Los Angeles 19-17.
The Packers got a big at-bat from shortstop Glen Bennett. For the game, Bennett went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Cincinnati a 3-2 lead.
"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Foster.
