The Brooklyn Bluebirds and Pittsburgh Industrials completed their game despite the rain.

Brooklyn Bluebirds starter Dave Gaultney had all his pitches working at Allegheny Field. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 10-1 Brooklyn win over the Pittsburgh Industrials. Pittsburgh, with the loss, is still a robust 3-1.

Wade Fields had a big 2-run double for the Bluebirds in the top of the third inning. With Brooklyn leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a splitter from Marty Clark, who finished 3rd in the NBL in ERA with 2.29 in 1974, and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bluebirds ahead, 3-0.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Vincent Wicker.
