Milwaukee pitcher Keith Williams had a large part in his team beating the New York Knickerbockers, 8-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With the win, Milwaukee raised its record to 18-17.

Larry Morford had a big 2-run double for the Dairymen in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ray Schifsky and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dairymen ahead, 4-1.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Williams.
