Thanks in large part to left fielder Vince Marshall, the Washington Eagles beat the Cleveland Bobcats, 6-4. Marshall went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. The winner was Dave Alexander, who threw 119 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits. The win gives Washington a record of 2-2.

Washington took a 6-4 lead on Jesus Olvera's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Olvera hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cleveland pitcher Joe Clabaugh visibly frustrated.
