Bobcats Fall Short, 3-2, at Pittsburgh
|
Pittsburgh Industrials starter Dennis Jackson turned in a sterling performance against the Cleveland Bobcats, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. With their winning streak at 4, the Industrials have raced to a strong start this season.
Billy Nielsen, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1963 draft, chipped in for Pittsburgh with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Dennis made his pitches," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker.
