Industrials Lose, 3-1, as Bulls Rally
|
Kansas City Bulls starter Tom Mitchell pitched well against the Pittsburgh Industrials at Independence Field, leading his team to a win, 3-1. Kansas City is now 13-23, Pittsburgh 21-15.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Rod Kremer came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Pittsburgh pitcher Bob Cole, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kansas City on top, 2-1.
"Tom was dictating to their hitters," said Kansas City manager DD Martin.
