Lords Take Nail-Biter Over Terriers
The Baltimore Lords took Boston pitcher Tim McDonald's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Seton Hill Stadium. The final score had Baltimore getting past the Terriers, 5-4. McDonald went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. The winner was Baltimore reliever Brian Alfieri, now 2-2. The loser was Kim Glanden. The second-place Lords have won 4 straight.

The Lords relied on third baseman Don Hughes for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"We found a way to get it done," Hughes said.
