Packers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Bluebirds
|
Starting pitcher Joe Quade did his part in helping the Cincinnati Packers thwart the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 5-1. The third-place Packers are now 18-18, the Bluebirds 17-19.
Cory Ruoff, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ruoff contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the tenth inning to put Cincinnati up, 2-1.
In postgame comments, Ruoff said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
