Brooklyn Goes Hitless Against Adams
Randy Adams really did a number on the Brooklyn Bluebirds at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium -- and that number was zero.

The Milwaukee Dairymen hurler had what he later called "one of the best moments of my life," tossing a no-hitter and leading the Dairymen to victory, 4-0.

"This is something special," Adams said. "I knew from the fifth inning that I had a no-hitter working. I tried to get it out of my mind, but you just can't. They have too many scoreboards in the park. They're everywhere you look."

The right-hander faced only 30 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 4 and walked 3.

"We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," Brooklyn manager John Meeker said when asked about the epic performance. "Adams was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number."

Adams has a 3-3 season record so far. In 6 starts, he has fanned 23 batters in 45.1 innings with a 4.57 ERA.
