With Late Score, Packers Beat Blockbusters
|
A 3-RBI performance from Daniel Salas, who is tied for 10th in the NBL in triples with 2, helped the Cincinnati Packers beat the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 4-3. Earning his 1st save of the year was Jerry Meek. Los Angeles has now lost 4 straight.
Salas had a timely hit for Cincinnati in the bottom of the eighth. With Cincinnati trailing 3-1, he turned a 0-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Cincinnati.
After the game, Salas refused to speak to a reporter for the Cincinnati Citizen. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
