The Los Angeles Blockbusters beat the Cleveland Bobcats, 7-6, at Blockbuster Stadium. Los Angeles left fielder Ramon Montoya had an outstanding performance. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Blockbusters, at 18-19, sit in 4th place in the National Baseball League Western Division.

Paul Popeck was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blockbusters shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
