Industrials Handed 11-5 Loss by Washington
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Washington Eagles and Pittsburgh Industrials.
Due in large part to right fielder Alan Cassill, the Washington Eagles sunk the Pittsburgh Industrials, 11-5. Cassill was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The Eagles improved their record to 18-18 by beating Pittsburgh.
In the bottom of the fifth, Washington first baseman Bob Raab had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, Raab stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 4-3, Washington. For the game, he was 1-4 with a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Washington skipper Brandon Tucker.
