Lord Leads Generals to 7-4 Win Over Hurons
|
No one was more impactful than Richie Lord in the 7-4 Atlanta win over Toronto. Lord, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in extra base hits with 16, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Atlanta reliever Paul Hodges picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Dan Crumm was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Renie White, his 1st.
Early in the game, Lord had a 3-run home run for Atlanta. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Generals on top, 3-0.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Lord. "Those qualities define our team."
The victory puts Atlanta at 14-24.
