Industrials Get One-Run Win at Washington
The Pittsburgh Industrials weathered an outstanding game by Washington left fielder Lee McGee to topple the Eagles, 8-7. McGee was 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Gene Steinhauer, the winner, goes to 2-4. He allowed 7 runs on 10 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts over 7.1 innings. Bob Cole earned the save for Pittsburgh, his 5th of the year.

Don Keough came through with a big-time hit for Pittsburgh. The left fielder smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 7-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Keough.

The Industrials, now 22-17, have won 5 in a row.
