Wolverines Get 2-1 Win Versus Baltimore
|
The Detroit Wolverines used a great performance from 28-year old left-handed pitcher William Matz to beat the Baltimore Lords, 2-1, at Seton Hill Stadium. Earning his 2nd save for Detroit was Alfredo Morales. Detroit, now 3-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
Detroit used the hitting of Pete Morrison to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Wolverines on top, 2-1. For the game, Morrison had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Morrison.
