Blockbusters Suffer 8-3 Home Defeat
|
The Kansas City Bulls used the hitting of left fielder Chris Taylor to subdue the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 8-3. For the game, Taylor was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Jim Miller earned the save, his 1st. The win puts Kansas City at 16-24.
Kansas City used the timely hitting of Ken Schilling to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bulls on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Taylor told the Kansas City Observer.
