Wranglers, Hammit Blast Pobladores, 10-1
|
Behind the hitting of John Hammit, the Dallas Wranglers stopped the Los Angeles Pobladores, 10-1. Hammit was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Wranglers. With the win over Los Angeles, the Wranglers improved to 20-21.
Dick Howard had a big 2-run triple for the Wranglers in the bottom of the second inning. With Dallas leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from former first round draft pick Dave Wynn and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wranglers ahead, 4-0.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Howard told the Dallas Daily News.
