Terriers Deal Generals 5-4 Loss
|
Boston picked up a win at Atlantic Station Field, toppling the Atlanta Generals, 5-4. Pitcher Jeff Butler was one of the reasons the Terriers triumphed. With the win, Boston has a record of 21-22. Atlanta falls to 16-26.
Greg Gray, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1957, aided the Boston cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I'm proud to wear a Boston jersey," Butler told the Boston Observer. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
