Victory Takes Knickerbockers to 23-20
|
The 3-hit performance of Steve Wright, who is tied for 6th in the NBL with a .886 OPS, helped the New York Knickerbockers beat the Washington Eagles, 6-0. The loss makes Washington 23-19.
Ron Freeman hit a 3-run home run off Tom McAteer in the bottom of the first, which put the Knickerbockers ahead, 3-0. In addition to the homer, Freeman had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.
