Getting an impressive start from Art Ledington, Cincinnati beat Brooklyn by the score of 1-0. Jerry Meek recorded the save for Cincinnati, his 2nd of the season. The second-place Packers have a record of 25-18.
The Bluebirds had trouble solving Ledington, who surrendered no runs on 3 hits over 8.2 innings.
"We did just enough to win," Ledington said.
