Northmen Sunk by Wranglers

Dallas and Twin Cities got after it at Twin Cities Stadium.
Twin Cities got a terrific performance from pitcher Bob Freeland, but it wasn't enough to beat the Dallas Wranglers. Dallas won the Twin Cities Stadium contest, 5-2. Freeland threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Dave Young picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-2. He struck out 4 in 7 innings.
Dallas used the hitting of Fred Johnson to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Wranglers on top, 3-0. For the game, Johnson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Jason Gudim, the Twin Cities manager.
The Northmen, at 21-21, have lost 5 straight games.
