Fulton Leads Explorers to 8-6 Win Over Blockbusters
The St. Louis Explorers defeated the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 8-6, at Blockbuster Stadium today. Leading the charge for St. Louis was third baseman Bill Fulton. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The Explorers bumped their record to 26-18 with this latest triumph.

With St. Louis leading 5-3 in the top of the fifth, Fulton hit a fastball from Mark Evert for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Explorers ahead, 7-3.

"We'll savor this win," Fulton told the St. Louis Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
