Northmen Turn Back Pobladores, 3-2
|
The game between Twin Cities and Los Angeles is in the books, despite a little rain.
Starting pitcher Dave Gilson was a major factor in the 3-2 Twin Cities Northmen triumph over the Los Angeles Pobladores. Gilson, now 4-4, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 0, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs.
The Northmen got an important contribution from left fielder Mike Evans, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 3-1 slider into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Northmen ahead, 3-1.
"We'll build on this win," said Gilson.
Twin Cities is now 17-27, Los Angeles 7-35.
