Packers K-O Quakers, 4-0
|
The Cincinnati Packers beat the Philadelphia Quakers, 4-0, at Roman Arena. Starting pitcher Rollie Rumler was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Cincinnati has a 3-game win streak, while Philadelphia has lost 4 in a row.
The Packers got a big hit from first baseman David Davalos. In the bottom of the sixth, Davalos pounded a 2-run double to left-center. His 3rd double of the season put the Packers ahead, 4-0.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Davalos.
