Explorers Get Hard-Earned Win
St. Louis turned a good performance from starting pitcher Dick Lott into a 1-0 triumph over the Los Angeles Blockbusters in 10 innings at Corps of Discovery Stadium. The Explorers, now 27-18, have won 6 in a row.

The Explorers got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Bob Raab. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Explorers.

"Dick had good arm action, good stuff," said St. Louis manager Ray Fleetwood.
