The Cleveland Bobcats eked out a 3-2 win versus the Washington Eagles at Monument Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Rick Tomlinson. He was terrific. The winner was Tomlinson. He threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The loser was Mike Cooper. Cleveland is now 28-15.

Alan Romano had a direct impact on the outcome. Romano contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Cleveland up, 3-2.

"My job is to go out and execute," said Tomlinson.
