The New York Empires defeated the Boston Terriers, 6-5, at Queens Field. Leading the charge for New York was third baseman Rick Lintner. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Empires have now won 6 straight.

The Empires got a clutch hit from second baseman Lowell Bickle. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Empires.
