Bulls Fall Short, 4-3, at Los Angeles
|
Los Angeles Blockbusters starter Larry Messenger was in fine form against the Kansas City Bulls at Blockbuster Stadium, leading his team to a win, 4-3. Messenger went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-3. Dick Berry earned the save, his 4th.
In the bottom of the second, Chuck Walton delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Los Angeles shortstop hit a 2-run single, putting the Blockbusters in front, 4-3.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Kansas City manager DD Martin. "The effort was great."
With the win, Los Angeles raised its record to 22-22.
