New York pitcher Nate Frampton gave the Lords all they could handle, but in the end, Baltimore left Seton Hill Stadium with a win, 2-1. Frampton allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings. Reliever Denny Boyd picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Jack Pratt, who leads the ABL in wins with 7, took the loss. With the win, Baltimore raised its record to 23-22.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Baltimore trailing 1-0, Mike Sheffield hit a fastball from Jack Pratt to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Lords had a walk-off win.
"That was a good game -- all the way through," said Sheffield.
