Lawrence Connor never let Boston get something going. The Montreal left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Habitants to a 5-0 win. The Habitants now have a record of 22-26 with the win over Boston.

Frankie Novy went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI for Montreal. The slick-fielding second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Ken Torkelson. It was his 15th hit of the season.
