Darrell Martin left his imprint on the 6-3 Los Angeles win against the Dallas Wranglers. Martin, who is a five-time All-Star, went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. Los Angeles reliever Whistlestop Meadows picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Frank Dunn took the loss. Larry Seger locked down his 8th save.
Los Angeles took a 6-3 lead on John Fine's 4th triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Fine hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Dallas pitcher Frank Dunn visibly frustrated.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Martin, "and then get after it again."
The setback makes Dallas 24-24.
