|
New York Empires starter Jack Neenan pitched his team past the Toronto Hurons, 3-1, in 10 innings. Neenan picked up the win for New York, going 9 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. The win makes New York 27-21.
Lowell Bickle, who finished 2nd in the ABL in hits with 196 in 1970, had a direct impact on the outcome. Bickle contributed a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put New York up, 3-1.
