Seattle Beats San Francisco, 3-2
|
Behind an impressive start by Denny Goldberg, Seattle beat San Francisco, 3-2. With the win, the Emeralds hiked their record to 25-25.
Seattle used a clutch at-bat from Charlie Hall to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Emeralds ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Denny set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Seattle manager Mark Velez.
