The Boston Terriers withstood an impressive performance by Baltimore left fielder Tim McNeely to defeat the Lords, 5-4, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. McNeely was 3-3 with a triple and a double. Boston pitcher Bruce Shurtleff got the win. He's now 6-2. John Pardoe was tagged with the loss. The losses continue to mount for Baltimore, which has now dropped 9 in a row.

Miguel Saenz went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Boston. The 28-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring single off John Pardoe. It was his 45th hit of the season.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Boston manager David Molina. "It's usually not just one thing."
