Ragsdale, Empires Finish Off Habitants, 5-2
|
New York Empires starter Pete Ragsdale turned in an exceptional performance against the Montreal Habitants at Queens Field, resulting in a New York win, 5-2. The Empires now have a record of 26-25 with the win over Montreal.
Ragsdale was effective against the Habitants, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Montreal to just 2 runs on 4 hits over 9 innings.
"I'll be honest," said Ragsdale. "I didn't have much left in the tank."
