Crain Throws 6-Hitter En Route to 6-1 Wolverines Win
|
Detroit Wolverines starter Jay Crain was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Toronto Hurons, 6-1. The American Baseball League Eastern Division-leading Wolverines have a record of 34-15.
Crain's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 5 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 6 hits. Crain, who is tied for 7th in the ABL in wins with 6, goes to 6-1 on the year with 37 strikeouts.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Crain.
