|
Wayne Baker knocked in 4 runs to help New York beat Cleveland, 10-2. Baker produced 2 singles and 1 home run. With this game in the books, New York is 31-21, Cleveland 24-25.
New York took a 6-2 lead on Baker's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off George Bodart in the top of the seventh, propelled New York to the win.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Baker told the New York Citizen.
