Baird in Fine Form in 5-1 Cleveland Win
|
Myron Baird, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1968 draft, was terrific for the Cleveland Bobcats in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Pittsburgh Industrials. His performance earned Baird rave reviews. Cleveland now sits at 24-26, while Pittsburgh falls to 28-22.
Baird, who dominated for Cleveland, earned the victory to move to 5-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 2. Pittsburgh batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
Said losing manager Vincent Wicker: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
