Starting pitcher Roger Long pitched well enough to help the Boston Terriers beat the Baltimore Lords, 4-3. Nate Edwards picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-3. John Fredrick, who finished 3rd in the ABL in wins with 18 in 1967, was tagged with the loss. The 19-32 Lords have lost 10 consecutive games.

Boston took a 3-2 lead on Larry Montgomery's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Montgomery hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Baltimore pitcher John Fredrick visibly frustrated.

Baltimore manager Steve Read, after yet another defeat, said: "Guys need to step up. Pronto."
