Tom Clark was a major factor in the 9-6 Denver win over San Diego. The Burros catcher went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win for the Burros raised their record to 33-20.

The Captains had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Burros going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Alejandro Rebolledo came to the plate. Rebolledo hit a 2-run double on a first pitch fastball from San Diego hurler Jeff Ferguson. It was Rebolledo's 10th double of the year.

"Enjoyed this one," Rebolledo told the Denver Daily. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
