Seton Hill Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Baltimore Lords and New York Empires.

The Baltimore Lords picked up a win at Seton Hill Stadium, knocking off the New York Empires, 5-4. On the mound for Baltimore was right-hander John Fredrick. He played a key role in the triumph. Fredrick yielded 4 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-1. The save was credited to Gilberto Rivera, his 5th.

John Raymond was 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI for Baltimore. The 29-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a 2-run single off Nate Frampton. It was his 13th hit of the season.

"It feels good to get this one," Raymond told the Baltimore Times.

Baltimore is in first place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division with a record of 33-22.
