Stallings, Wolverines March to 8-4 Victory
The Detroit Wolverines defeated the Montreal Habitants, 8-4, in American Baseball League action at LaSalle Stadium. Troy Stallings pulled his weight. The 7-year veteran went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The win hiked the Detroit record to 28-24.

With Detroit leading 4-3 in the top of the seventh, Stallings came up to bat against Montreal pitcher Hervé Lelièvre. Stallings hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Wolverines on top, 7-3.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Stallings said after the game.
