Bulls Upend Blockbusters, 8-2
|
The Kansas City Bulls picked up a win at Blockbuster Stadium, downing the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 8-2. On the mound for Kansas City was right-hander Mike Brown, who played a pivotal role in the win. Brown got the win, improving to 7-1. He gave up 8 hits and walked 2 over 8.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, Kansas City upped its record to 31-24.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Dennis Boggs? The Kansas City second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Bulls on top, 1-0. For the game, Boggs had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"We didn't play well enough to win," Los Angeles skipper John Trausch said.
